The House as tree is a new type of habitat with collective houses as an answer to our changing life, work and sleep rhythms. The houses, distributed throughout The Hague, offer places to meet and stay for a short term. House as tree consists of layers, each with a different use and gradation of ‘disconnection’ with the environment. So people are no longer place related to ‘home’ for sleep or work.
